Midland Freewheelers are a volunteer group dedicated to helping others who are in receipt of care provided by the NHS.
All riders hold advanced riding qualifications obtained either from the Institute of Advanced Motorists or the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
They undertake to convey any medical item, whether it be urgent blood supplies, human tissue for analysis, patient notes, Xrays or equipment providing it can be carried safely by motorcycle and its requirement constitutes an emergency.
This is all done completely voluntarily and free of charge.
This service always requires donations and sponsorships to keep its lifesaving bikes mobile.
